  Evan Gladstone
Executive Managing Director

Evan Gladstone is the founder and Executive Managing Director of Chicago based NRC Realty Advisors, LLC. Beginning in 1989 as the National Real Estate Clearinghouse, Inc. Gladstone guided NRC as one of the Resolution Trust Company’s (RTC) major auction and sealed bid contractors selling nearly one billion in commercial and residential real estate from 1990 to 1994. Gladstone began his real estate career in 1974 at Sheldon Good & Company, and has been a prime mover in the real estate auction and sealed bid venues since then. Gladstone began conducting residential real estate auctions in 1982 for Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and HUD, then for the FSLIC and FDIC ultimately selling over 4000 houses by the end of the 1980’s. He pioneered the use of sealed bid sales for commercial real estate first for the RTC and then for major banks and corporations including Circle K, K Mart, GE Capital, and BP North America. In 2002 and 2003 he was hired to conduct two landmark bankruptcy liquidations for Swifty Serve Stores and Clark Retail. Using a ‘buy one, some or all’ sealed bid format, he was able to generate nine thousand hard-money bids for the more than 1200 convenience stores being sold, and close the transactions in under 90 days to 420 individual buyers. NRC was renamed NRC Realty Advisors, LLC in 2004 with the addition of partners Denny Ruben and Hope Mineo. Currently, NRC is coordinating the sale of 450 am/pm franchises for BP located on the West Coast, Midwest and Southeastern United States. Gladstone is also conducting residential real estate auctions for lenders once again this year as the residential foreclosure rates have hit record numbers, and as homebuilders file for bankruptcy with large lot and land holdings.

NRC Realty Advisors, LLC specializes in divest of residential and commercial real estate through sealed bid sales and live auctions as well as financial advisory services from its Scottsdale office including sale-leaseback financing and mergers and acquisitions in the convenience store and restaurant industry.

Mr. Gladstone is a licensed real estate broker in multiple states and a member of the National Association of Realtors, the National Auctioneers Association, the National Association of Convenience Stores, the International Counsel of Shopping Centers, the International Franchise Association and the Turnaround Management Association.


     
  Hope Mineo
Managing Director

Hope Mineo joined NRC in 1996 after a successful career with the Michael Thomas Corporation as a Senior Level Executive. At Thomas, Hope specialized in new business franchises and opened twenty new offices, with over 200 employees. Since joining NRC, Hope has been fundamental in developing and determining the Company's leading-edge direction. She continues to manage NRC's operations and strategic development as NRC Realty Advisors continues to offer expanded services.

Ms. Mineo received her B.A. and Graduate Degrees in Psychology from the University of Maryland. She served as President of the international non-profit organization Save The Children. Ms. Mineo is well-known as a public speaker on the changing of corporate America in the 21st century and is applauded as one the authors of the book When the Canary Stops Singing: Women's Perspectives on Transforming Business.


     
  Dennis L. Ruben
Managing Director

Dennis L. Ruben joined NRC with over twenty-five years of legal experience with specialization in real estate and financial matters. Most recently Executive Vice President and General Counsel with GE Capital Franchise Finance Corporation, his supervision of the legal department and direction of all legal matters for this $10 billion business unit included real estate acquisition, loan origination and structuring of all major financing transactions.

Mr. Ruben has a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Iowa College of Law and a B.A. degree from University of Iowa. A member of several State Bars, multiple Bar Associations and the American Bankruptcy Institute, Mr. Ruben participated as a past speaker and panelist for the Strategic Research Institute.


     

Vice Presidents

  Avry Davidovich
Senior VP Business Development
Specialties: Petroleum, Convenience Stores


Avry Davidovich brings to NRC over 28 years of executive-level operational experience in the convenience retailing/petroleum marketing industry. He began his career with Emro Marketing (a subsidiary of Marathon Oil), rising from a single store manager in 1978 to special assistant to the President in 1987. In 1989, he founded Davidovich Oil Company, which he sold to FFP Operating Partners (FFP) in 1992. He subsequently served as FFP's Executive Vice President and Board Member, overseeing the operations of the company's 400 stores. In 1997, he founded Vista Convenience Stores, serving as President and CEO. Within four years, Vista had grown to 120 stores in five states. Davidovich left Vista in 2001 for b2b Solutions, a full-service consulting firm for retailers and their suppliers, where he served as a consulting partner.

Davidovich earned a philosophy doctorate in Mathematics from the University of Tel Aviv and is a graduate of the University of Michigan's Executive Education program in Advanced Corporate Conceptual Management.


 
 

Jeff Pomerantz
VP Business Development
Specialties: Bankruptcy, Divestitures


Jeff Pomerantz is a corporate professional with 35 years of CEO/COO
experience founding and growing US and international industrial,
eCommerce, and service companies. Prior to joining NRC, Mr. Pomerantz,
co-founded Chrysalis Special Projects, a Canadian consulting group,
where he directed corporate turnaround efforts, complex multi-party
negotiations, and corporate restructuring initiatives. Jeff has worked
closely with Native American Peoples in their efforts to commercialize
various business opportunities, principally those associated with the 2010
Winter Olympics.

Prior to Chrysalis, Mr. Pomerantz was COO of an industry specific Internet
startup. His responsibilities included fund raising, marketing and business
development. Mr. Pomerantz also founded Dalworth Tool & Supply. While
at Dalworth, Mr. Pomerantz developed tightly focused value-added
management programs to meet engineering and inventory management
objectives.

While on hiatus in Barcelona, Jeff founded Mechanical Concepts Ibérica
an information technology and direct marketing consulting firm oriented
towards assisting European industrial manufacturers grow exports
through leading edge interactive technologies.

Pomerantz graduated with a BS in Business Management from Bradley
University, did his post-graduate work at Southern Methodist University
and earned Spanish fluency accreditation from Barcelona’s Esade
University. Jeff is an instrument, multi-engine pilot, avid mountain bike
racer and extreme sports enthusiast.


 
  Laurie Tarver
Senior Vice President
Specialties: Real Estate, Land Divestitures, Housing Industry


Laurie Tarver is a corporate professional bringing more than 15 years experience in Real Estate, Land Development and housing industry expertise to the executive team at NRC. Laurie establised her leadership capabilities while working for three of the country's largest publicly held homebuilders namely Lennar, Del Webb Corporation/Pulte Homes and Ryland Homes as well as privately held Tadian Homes and Neumann Homes.

Her real estate expertise spans many geographic areas including the South and Southwest United States with executive leadership experience in Texas, South Carolina, Arizona and Colorado as well as the Midwest where she led homebuilding divisions in Michigan, Wisconsin and Illinois. Laurie has "walked the walk" inside major homebuilding companies and has held every position of executive leadership including Sales Manager, Construction Manager, Sales and Marketing Vice President, Vice President of Operations, Chief Operating Officer and Division President.

Tarver holds an undergraduate degree from Angelo State University in San Angelo, Texas and a Master of Arts from the University of Houston. She has been a frequent speaker at the NAHB Convention and has won multiple housing industry sales and marketing awards in Houston and the State of Texas. She holds a South Carolina Real Estate license.

Her housing industry and real estate know-how brings added depth to the NRC Management Team and real value added service to NRC's builder and lender clients.


 
 

Donnie Plunkett
VP Business Development
Specialties: Homebuilders, Developers, Condo Converters


Donnie Plunkett has over 10 years’ experience in the real estate field. Prior to joining NRC Realty Advisors, Plunkett was the Founder and President of Congress Realty, a real estate brokerage with operations in Arizona, California, Nevada, and eight other states. He was featured in REALTOR® Magazine’s annual 30 Under 30 feature in 2005, having listed and sold thousands of properties.

Plunkett holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Texas Christian University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Rice University. He holds real estate broker licenses in several states. Plunkett has also served as a Senior Financial Analyst at Intel Corporation.

Through study and implementation, Plunkett has developed a keen awareness of the issues facing homebuilders, developers and their lenders. He seeks to expand the NRC real estate auction and sealed bid sale platform to meet the unique needs of the housing industry.
