WHITE HEN TO CLOSE 15 STORES
White Hen Pantry will close and sell 15 of its stores in the Chicago area.
The store leases and inventories will be auctioned, but the buildings and
real estate are not being sold, according to a spokeswoman for NRC Realty
Advisors, a Chicago company handling the bidding. The stores are at 3456 W.
Foster Ave. in Chicago, and in the suburbs of Aurora, Bolingbrook, Carol
Stream, Des Plaines, Glenview, Hanover Park, Mount Prospect, Naperville,
Round Lake Beach and Wheeling. The closings will leave slightly more than
200 White Hens in the Chicago region.
