BP PUTS UP FOR SALE 138 LOCATIONS AMID BRANDING STARTEGY
BP is offering through NRC Realty Advisors, LLC a sealed bid sale for 18 gasoline stations and five commercial
sites in New Jersey and New York. BP said the sale, which has a June 8 deadline, is consistent with its plan
to build its brand through a network that includes a mix of company, jobber, dealer and franchise-owned convenience
and gasoline retail locations. The company said it reviews its network of branded sites to best determine how to
serve customer needs and yield best overall performance in each market and site location.
In a separate sealed bid sale through NRC, the company is offering 12 BP gasoline stations, 22 unbranded sites
and 81 commercial sites for sale in Illinois, Indiana, Ohio and Pennsylvania. The deadline for bids is June 7.
Earlier this month, BP and NRC announced the sale of 75 ARCO stations with am/pm stores and one commercial site
out West with a deadline for bids of May 26. Fourteen of the sites are located in Washington, with six in Oregon,
four in Arizona and the remaining sites in California.
Meantime, the deadline for bids in the sale of 15 BP gasoline stations with BP Connect Franchise Stores,
4 BP gasoline stations with kiosk stores and 11 commercial sites in Florida expired last week.
In January, BP announced the extension of its franchise with am/pm mini markets in the western U.S. to a new BP
Connect Wild Bean Café franchise offer in the eastern and Midwestern U.S. The franchise agreements being offered
for sale in Florida are the first franchises for BP east of the Rockies.
