BP PUTS 29 BRANDED OUTLETS IN INDIANA ON AUCTION BLOCK
BP has retained NRC Realty Advisors, LLC to auction through a sealed bid process
the sale of 29 BP Connect franchise stores with Amoco branded gasoline in Indiana.
BP is also offering for sale two de-branded gasoline stations and five commercial
sites in the state. The deadline for bids is Feb. 8.
Previously, BP announced a strategy to build its brand through a network that
includes a mix of company, jobber and dealer and franchise-owned convenience
and gasoline retail locations. The company said it launched the BP Connect
and Wilde Bean Café c-store brands in east of the Rockies retail markets
this past February following its success with its am/pm c-stores in the western
United States.
BP markets more than 15 billion gallons of gasoline annually to consumers
in the U.S. through 14,000 retail outlets. BP is the single, global brand formed
by the combination of the former British Petroleum, Amoco Corporation, Atlantic
Richfield (ARCO) and Burmah Casrol.
