7-Eleven puts 3 area stores up for sale

DAYTONA BEACH — 7-Eleven Inc. has put three of its company-owned convenience stores in Volusia County up for sale. The stores — two in Daytona Beach and one in Edgewater — are among 75 that the Dallas, Texas-based retailer is seeking to sell in 16 states. Thirty-one of those stores are in Florida, some of which include gasoline stations.

None of the three properties in Volusia County include gasoline stations. In Daytona Beach, the 3,046-square-foot store at 1628 S. Atlantic Ave. opened in 1970, while the 2,640-square-foot store at 2222 S. Atlantic Ave. opened in 1967. The 2,940-square-foot store at 101 S. Ridgewood Ave. in Edgewater opened in 2010.

NRC Realty & Capital Advisors LLC has been retained by 7-Eleven to find buyers for those properties, which upon their sale would no longer be affiliated with the 7-Eleven chain, said Tracey Suppo, a spokeswoman for the retailer.

The stores were designated to be sold because they “do not fit 7-Eleven’s current business model,” stated Robbie Radant, 7-Eleven vice president of mergers and acquisitions, in a news release.
