STAUNTON – The 7-Eleven on Coalter Street in Staunton will be up for sale later in June, according to a release. 7-Eleven, through NRC Realty & Capital Advisors, will sell 75 gas stations and convenience stores — 14 of them in Virginia. The Staunton location has both a convenience store and gas station.

The 7-Elevens closing include 31 locations in Florida, six in Massachusetts and Illinois, three in Texas, two in New York, Delaware, New Jersey and Utah and one each in Arizona, Connecticut, Indiana, Maryland, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Vermont, the release said.

“There are many nice sites in this package that simply do not fit 7-Eleven’s current business model,” said Robbie Radant, 7-Eleven vice president of mergers and acquisitions in a release. “All of these stores have solid merchandise sales and should provide good opportunities for the right buyers.”

The properties are expected to be available in late June, with a bid deadline of July 29, 2014.

The properties will be sold using NRC’s buy one, some or all, sealed-bid sale process, the release said.

The 7-Eleven in Verona, which was open for 39 years, closed down in September 2013. The owner, Kyle Price left that location in order to acquire a new one by Interstate 81 with gas pumps.
