7-Eleven to sell 9 stores in South Florida

By Emon Reiser, ReporterConvenience retailer 7-Eleven is selling 31 stores in Florida, with 9 up for grabs in Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Hialeah, Miramar, Coral Springs and North Palm Beach.
After 7-Eleven reported record store growth in 2012 — nearly reaching 50,000 stores in 16 countries that year — the franchise announced the sale of 78 properties in the U.S. in late May.
Chicago-based NRC Realty & Capital Advisors is coordinating the sales of all the U.S. stores in a sealed-bid process.
Robbie Radan, 7-Eleven’s vice president of mergers and acquisitions, said the stores up for sale don’t fit the Dallas-based company’s current business model.
Half of the sites are fee-owned properties, while the rest are leaseholds.
Store sizes range from 1,870 square feet to 4,740 square feet and are being sold without 7-Eleven branding.
The bid deadline for all properties is July 29.
