Sunoco Selling 2 Stations

Two Orangeburg Sunoco gas stations, one on Joe Jeffords Highway and the other on U.S. 601, are up for sale.

"These locations are being sold as part of a continuing review of Sunoco-branded retail outlets, with the goal of maximizing return on capital employed and cash flow from our assets," said Robert W. Owens, Sunoco's senior vice president of marketing.

Sunoco, Inc. is offering to sell approximately 165 properties in 12 states by sealed bid on Wednesday, April 15.

The portfolio includes 134 currently operating retail fuel outlets, 14 non-operating locations that are expected to re-open and 17 commercial properties. Two of the commercial properties are undeveloped lots.

The Joe Jeffords Highway Sunoco had total inside sales in 2008 of about $1 million and had a total of about 1.4 million gallons of gasoline delivered. It had about 122,300 gallons of diesel delivered.

The U.S. 601 Sunoco had about 2 million gallons of gasoline delivered in 2008 and about 808,000 gallons of diesel. Total inside sales were about $966,000.
